Philadelphia Eagles fans can add another defensive back to the list of the top 100 players in the NFL voted on by the players.
It's finally Cooper DeJean's time in the spotlight as he joins Zack Baun, Quinyon Mitchell, and Jalen Hurts as the only Eagles to make the list. All four have been voted on within the top 56 as well. The players put DeJean at 38.
Last year, DeJean racked up 93 tackles, 16 pass deflections, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and one quarterback hit in 16 games. He also allowed a completion percentage of 60.5 and a passer rating of 75.4. DeJean was voted to his first All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections in 2025.
Cooper DeJean is the latest Eagles player to be in top 100 players list
There's no one more deserving to be in the top 100 than DeJean, who had a great 2025 season. Everything seemed to come together for him, as he filled out the gaps that were visible in his rookie year in 2024.
DeJean has everything the Eagles need in their defense. He can play in the slot and can drop back as a safety as well. Where DeJean shines over other cornerbacks is his ability to tackle and lay a big hit on an offensive player.
That's why Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is going to have DeJean play more often at safety in 2026. DeJean is expected to play safety only in "base defense."
Otherwise, the Eagles are not going to move DeJean to the outside. That is occupied by his fellow All-Pro, Mitchell, and Riq Woolen is handling the CB2 job.
DeJean feels like one of those players who will continue to evolve and show off his versatility. He has played so well over the last two years, and it really doesn't look like he has hit the prime of his career.
While he may not be the shutdown corner that Mitchell is on the outside, DeJean handles himself well in the slot. He can come up in run support and make a tackle, which is not a strength of Mitchell's at all.

Eagles fans have enjoyed watching DeJean play over the last two years, and 2026 is just going to be another reminder of how good they truly have it with him. Soon enough, he's going to become a very expensive player for the team.
