It's official: Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has done it again.
Roseman has built a reputation for finding good talent no matter how late the Eagles select in the NFL Draft. He once again nailed his perfect pick late in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and was recognized for his performance during the season.
The Pro Football Writers of America named their All-Rookie team for the 2025 season. Eagles rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell was the only player on the team to be named to the list after a great first season in the National Football League.
Jihaad Campbell was another great find by Howie Roseman
Going into the season, there were questions about Campbell's health and whether he would be able to play. Then it became that he was healthy, but would be thrust into action with Nakobe Dean starting the season on IR.
Campbell played well all season, starting the first half of the year and being in the rotation at linebacker the rest of the year. He finished the season with 80 tackles, three pass deflections, two tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one interception in 17 games played, starting in 10 of them.
For someone who dropped to them at the 31st overall pick, this ended up being a massive steal for the Eagles in the draft, as Campbell proved to be able to do it all. He was stellar against the run and in coverage. Eagles fans could see his game improve throughout the season.
His play might have made it easy for the Eagles, as they are still deciding what to do with Nakobe Dean as he enters free agency and seeks a new deal. Philly might be able to avoid paying Dean and stick with Campbell and Pro Bowler Zack Baun in the starting lineup, and give Jeremiah Trotter Jr. a shot in the rotation.

The expectation was that, last offseason, if Dean played well, he would get a new contract. Campbell might have ruined those plans, as the Eagles have a starting-caliber linebacker they got in the first round and will be a cheaper option for them for years.
