This 2026 NFL Draft might end up being completely different from any the Philadelphia Eagles have had in a long time.
There are plenty of directions the Eagles could be going with their picks, but the offense is expected to get most of the looks as the team hopes to get younger there. When speaking at his press conference, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman isn't focused on just one position, as he is going to get guys who will make the roster better, no matter the position.
"We have to understand that the best player who may be available may be a position that going into the draft we didn't necessarily want to take," Roseman said via The Athletic's Zach Berman. "And I've come to grips with that, probably expecting that. Expect the worst, hope for the best. ...We still build this team the same way that we built it all along. So there are certain positions that if we're on the board and it's a defensive player, those are important positions for us. Not only now, but going forward and we're not going to pass up a good player at those positions and we'll be high-fiving when we'll make that pick."

This really fits with what Roseman has done in the draft over the years. Just last year, Roseman had a solid linebacker room and decided to go get Jihaad Campbell in the first round, and look at how that turned out for them.
There is a strong chance that could happen again with someone like Campbell dropping from the top half of the draft projection to falling to them. Roseman talked about that in his presser as well as the possibility.
"Prepare for the worst. Come into the draft being very comfortable with having 23 guys we're ready to take. ...If something happens that somebody who's higher on our board than 23rd is available, we'll be ready for that. If there's an opportunity that we think makes sense to move up based on the value of that player, we'll move up. If we have multiple guys at our spot, and there's a trade that makes sense to move back, we'll move back."

Everyone is going to be watching how Roseman handles his four draft picks in the first three rounds, which include two in the third round of the draft. Most mock drafts have the Eagles taking an offensive lineman in the first round and looking at wide receiver in the second or third round.

No matter what happens, Eagles fans know what to let Roseman do once the clock goes off to start the draft: let him cook because Roseman season has begun.
