With the arrival of new Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, the wide zone scheme emphasized throughout the Kyle Shanahan-Sean McVay coaching tree figures to be front and center in Philly moving forward.

And while new offensive line coach Chris Kuper has massive shoes to fill in the wake of the legendary Jeff Stoutland's shocking resignation, Mannion, Kuper, and company now take the reins of an offensive line with so many accolades, but injury concerns galore.

Prospects including Olaivavega Ioane have surfaced as a potential fit in Philadelphia, and another lineman generating plenty of buzz as the 2026 draft approaches is Iowa Hawkeye Gennings Dunker.

Gennings Dunker could be perfect draft prospect for Eagles

The Lena, Illinois native brings far more than just a mean streak - and a meaner mullet - to the table: he also possesses size (6-foot-5, 316 pounds) and perhaps most importantly, versatility.

A three-year starter for the Hawkeyes, his senior year culminated in first-team All-Big Ten honors, and his ability to man multiple spots stands out. With starts at both guard spots, along with his primary spot where he excelled the past two seasons, right tackle, Dunker could potentially slot in several places along the Eagles' line. And with all the uncertainty surrounding the health of Landon Dickerson and Lane Johnson, having a rookie arrive with the ability to develop at both tackle and guard could be crucial.

According to PFF's Trevor Sikhema, the Iowa tackle is "a mauler who also thrives in space." Sikhema delved deeper into Dunker's scouting profile:

"Dunker has been Iowa's consistent starting tackle for the last three seasons, but his NFL home will likely be at guard. His arm length appears well below average, and his kick slide in pass protection doesn't cover enough ground. Outside of his physical limitations, there's a lot to love. He has a hulking frame that can handle even more weight. He has the contact power to displace and drive defenders off the ball. He is well-balanced with a strong core thanks to his track and wrestling background. Moving inside will allow him to lean on his strengths while mitigating weaknesses, specifically in a zone-blocking scheme."

Dunker's current draft day projection places him in the late first round-early second round neighborhood. And with general manager Howie Roseman at the helm with multiple compensatory picks to make moves, fans may just see that mullet flowing in midnight green before long.
