It almost feels like yesterday older Philadelphia Eagles fans were watching former quarterback Donovan McNabb leading the team to multiple NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl appearance.

Before Nick Foles and Jalen Hurts, McNabb was considered to be one of the best quarterbacks in Eagles history after all his playoff success. Well, after a great NFL career and some time off with broadcasting jobs, McNabb is back in the news, but this time it involves a member of his family.

Rivals/On3 reporter Brandon Huffman reported that Donovan McNabb's son, Donovan McNabb Jr., has committed to playing his college ball at UNLV. Donovan McNabb Jr. is a three-star wide receiver in high school, and he will start his college career soon enough.

Eagles legend Donovan McNabb's son will be playing college football

Donovan McNabb Sr. is one of the most accomplished Eagles in franchise history despite some polarizing opinions from the fan base about him after being selected to six Pro Bowls. Injuries hurt McNabb's legacy as he missed a lot of time throughout his time in Philly.

McNabb's ability to keep the Eagles relevant as one of the best teams in the NFL year after year deserves a ton of credit. The Eagles went to five NFC Championship games and made a Super Bowl with McNabb as the starting quarterback; not many quarterbacks can achieve that.

Now McNabb has his son somewhat following in his footsteps as an athlete. During his college days at Syracuse, McNabb was a two-sport athlete as he was the Orange's starting quarterback as well as played guard on the basketball team.

While McNabb Jr. might be playing wide receiver, if he turns to be the athlete that McNabb Sr. was in his playing days, he's going to be just fine playing in college.
