There isn't a single Philadelphia Eagles fan who has even come close to forgiving Jonathan Gannon for what happened when he was the defensive coordinator.

After losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in 2023, Gannon bolted to become the Arizona Cardinals head coach, but it turns out he had been talking to them about the job before the game. That affected the Eagles' performance, allowing 38 points for a defense that was top-five all season, so Philly hasn't forgotten it.

Karma came back to bite Gannon after he was fired from the Arizona Cardinals after just three seasons, and none of them finished with a winning record. Instead, he is looking for a defensive coordinator job in the NFL, with one team interested in interviewing him, which would be perfect for Eagles fans.

Dallas Cowboys scheduled an interview with Jonathan Gannon

A source tells Dallas Morning News Cowboys reporter Joseph Hoyt that the Cowboys have scheduled an interview with Gannon for the open defensive coordinator job. The Cowboys fired their former defensive coordinator, Matt Eberflus, after one season.

Not a single Eagles fan would be upset to hear the news if the Cowboys wanted to hire Gannon for the job. Playing against the man who cost them a Super Bowl twice a year seems like an enticing offer.

Gannon has since coached against the Eagles as the Cardinals played in Philly back in 2023 during the horrendous run of losses the Birds were experiencing at the time. Arizona came from behind in that game to beat the Eagles 35-31 in the game that officially signaled the end of the line for Philly that year.

From the Super Bowl loss to the embarrassment of what happened in Philly back in 2023, the Eagles fans want another shot at Gannon. They will be rooting for the Cowboys to hire him so the proper revenge can be completed.
