With the offseason rocking and rolling, the Philadelphia Eagles are well underway in planning for the 2026 season, including prepping for the NFL Draft.
Many football fans took time to watch the college football National Championship game between the Miami Hurricanes and the number one-ranked, undefeated Indiana Hoosiers. It was a tight game for most of it, but Indiana came out the survivors, winning their first national title ever with a 27-21 win over Miami.
There were plenty of NFL eyes there to see which players from the game would become future stars for their teams. The Philadelphia Eagles might have been keeping a closer eye on one player from Indiana who could become a future star on the team.
Eagles might be taking a closer look at Indiana wide receiver Elijah Sarratt
Indiana wide receiver Elijah Sarratt had a quiet game for the Hoosiers in the national title with three receptions for 28 yards, with his longest going for 12 yards. Don't let that performance fool any of the Eagles fans, as Sarratt is one of the top receivers in the NFL Draft.
This season, Sarratt caught 65 passes for 830 yards and a nation-leading 15 touchdowns. In 2024, he had 53 receptions for 957 yards and eight touchdowns. His best season came when he was with James Madison in 2023, as he led the team with 82 catches for 1,191 yards and eight touchdowns.
During his career, Sarratt was a first-team All-Sun Belt selection in 2023, third-team All-Big Ten selection in 2024, and a second-team All-Big Ten in 2025. Everywhere Sarratt has gone, he's been successful.
Early draft projections have him landing late in the first round, around where the Eagles will be picking at 23. Philly has been tied by multiple mock drafts to selecting a wide receiver in the first round, with questions surrounding the future of star wide receiver A.J. Brown.
Even if the Eagles decide not to trade Brown away, Jahan Dotson is a free agent, and the Eagles have made no indications that he will be back in the midnight green uniform for 2026.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and 209 pounds, Sarratt would make for the perfect slot receiver in the Eagles' offense. He is good at everything he can do, but won't blow anyone away with his speed. One thing about him, though, is that he is a polished route runner who can make an impact in the passing game.

There will be plenty of good choices for the Eagles, as this is a strong wide receiver class in the draft. Sarratt has to be a consideration for Philly in the first round.
