Every Philadelphia Eagles fan knows that general manager Howie Roseman was probably one of the first to call the Las Vegas Raiders for an update after the Maxx Crosby fiasco.
The Baltimore Ravens stunned the NFL world by backing out of the trade that would have them send two first-round picks to the Raiders for Crosby. Now, Crosby is available again, and Roseman has a shot at doing the unthinkable and getting the elite pass rusher he has needed this offseason after missing out on Jaelan Phillips.
Sports Illustrated NFL reporter Albert Breer shared an update on what the Raiders are thinking with the new Crosby trade potential on the table. NFL teams might try to low-ball them, but that might not be a good idea.
"All this is difficult for everyone. The Raiders will work through different scenarios—some teams called last night, but Vegas isn't going to trade Crosby on a discount. And keeping him with a revamped crew around him isn't the worst idea in the world."
Raiders won't back down from asking price for Maxx Crosby
It was always assumed that a Crosby trade would probably have to take at least a first-round pick and another high pick to get a deal done. Baltimore was the only team that offered two first-round picks for Crosby, so the Raiders shouldn't expect that to happen again.
Roseman, though, has a chance to come in and make a strong offer. Two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jalen Carter was rumored to have been part of the initial trade talks, though it is unlikely to happen.
The Eagles would be very likely to part with a first-round pick for Crosby, but that second pick would be the difficult one to negotiate. If the Raiders want a second-round pick, Philly would probably prefer that to be in 2027 and not take that kind of loss all in one year.

There are going to be different possibilities that could come from this trade, but the Eagles would be okay with a first-round pick to part with. It's just a matter of what to do with that second pick.
