For fantasy managers, the Philadelphia Eagles are quite a polarizing team. How will Jalen Hurts perform with a new offensive coordinator who will presumably be less predictable and vanilla?
Saquon Barkley is coming off a down year after exploding for a career season in 2024, but again, the change of offensive coordinator to Sean Mannion could be a huge positive.
The wide receiver position is full of narratives and questions. DeVonta Smith is the new WR1. Makai Lemon could be a sneaky add later in rounds if he bursts onto the scene as a rookie. And then, you have the tight end room where Dallas Goedert is nearing the end, and Eli Stowers may be the heir apparent.
Throughout training camp and the preseason, consider this to be your go-to place for everything Eagles, but through a fantasy lens. We'll keep you posted on all that you need to know to dominate your leagues.
Latest Fantasy Football updates for the Eagles: News, injuries and position battles
DeVonta Smith still isn't practicing -- 8/10
Smith won't take the practice field, per Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP, as he still deals with a hamstring injury. The team doesn't think it's serious and is taking its time with him. This is something to monitor.
Makai Lemon's impact at start of season is in doubt -- 8/10
Lemon has been sidelined for the bulk of OTAs and training camp due to a hamstring injury. Jimmy Kempski of Philly Voice has reported that he doesn't think Lemon will start at the beginning of the year. "Well, Lemon missed half the spring and so far half of training camp, and on the days he did practice he didn't do a whole lot. It's fair at this point to doubt that he will start, at least early in the season," Kempski wrote.
Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reveals Makai Lemon logs fourth straight DNP -- 8/8
Unfortunately, Lemon's first professional offseason has been marred by a nagging hamstring issue. It cost him a majority of organized team activities (OTAs)Â and has since spilled into camp.
For what it's worth, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman downplayed the matter during an appearance on the Up & Adams Show. Either way, the fact that Lemon is missing so much time and reps is far from ideal — and something managers should keep in mind.
Eli Stowers is off to a slow start in camp -- 8/6
Stowers is a work in progress as a run blocker, but he hasn't made much noise as a pass catcher. There isn't much reason to worry, as he's still a rookie. As things currently stand, though, it appears that Johnny Mundt will join Dallas Goedert in 12-personnel (two TEs) packages.
Dontayvion Wicks continues to get more comfortable within Eagles offense -- 8/4
With both Smith and Lemon sidelined, Wicks took full advantage. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that people around the team are "really excited" about the new receiver. Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green stated that Wicks is earning Jalen Hurts' trust. He caught two passes and was even targeted in the red zone.
DeVonta Smith and Makai Lemon both sidelined with injury -- 8/4
Smith and Lemon both didn't practice due to hamstring injuries. The team is going to be cautious with these two, but it's a blow as Sean Mannion is implementing his system in Philadelphia.
Makai Lemon is getting work with first team -- 8/2
Even though Lemon missed minicamp, the Eagles aren't easing him into anything. The Athletic’s Zach Berman reported that Philadelphia is making an effort to get the ball to Lemon, which is a good sign as he'll have a role within this offense.
Makai Lemon is being moved around the formation -- 7/30
The Eagles first round pick was seen being used in several ways. EJ Smith of PHLYSports reported that Lemon has been used on orbits and jets, as he has a knack for finding the soft spot in zone coverage.
Eagles' WR depth chart begins in muddied waters -- 7/29
DeVonta Smith is obviously the clear no. 1, but on Day 1 of camp, Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, and Hollywood Brown were all reported to have gotten work with the starters, per NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro. That doesn't help the Lemon owners much, nor does it give weight to any of the long-time Wicks truthers.
Saquon Barkley to see more opportunities in the passing game? -- 7/29
Again according to Zangaro, the Eagles' offense looks like it'll feature more running backs in the receiving game than in recent years:
"We also saw more dump-offs to running backs, and Saquon Barkley thinks he might have more opportunities to become a pass-catcher out of the backfield in 2026."
Tank Bigsby brings the 'juice' on Day 1 -- 7/29
For those who believed in what they've seen thus far from Tank Bigsby, they'll be happy to know that he stood out right away in the Eagles' first practice. Zangaro called it "juice."

If Bigsby continues to look as good as his fan club knows he is, then he's going to cut into Saquon's workload. It has to happen, especially given the desire to preserve Barkley's health as he gets older.
