With the 2026 NFL Draft completed, Philadelphia Eagles fans and pundits alike will begin shifting their focus to the 2026 regular season, specifically fantasy football.
Players' stock will continue to rise and fall as more storylines break out from the draft, with several preseason implications already being written about this season. ESPN fantasy football writer Eric Karabell believes that one Eagles wide receiver is considered a "winner" for fantasy football as rosters begin to take shape for the 2026 regular season.
"Makai Lemon WR, Eagles: Lemon wasn't the first rookie receiver off the draft board, but he enters the best situation, with a polished, Super Bowl-winning QB and guaranteed targets pending. Brown is as good as gone, and the other receivers the Eagles added this offseason aren't major threats. Frankly, one could argue Lemon might be Philly's top target ahead of DeVonta Smith, even mostly from the slot. I generally let others covet rookie wide receivers, but Lemon has WR3 production coming, and he should be a solid value in drafts. I'm in."
Fantasy football owners might have to consider drafting Makai Lemon
Lemon should be the benefactor of the weapons in the Philadelphia Eagles' arsenal this upcoming season. If the team allows him to operate out of the slot, the Eagles should be able to utilize the USC product to his maximum potential, which would then yield positive dividends for fantasy owners.
With the implementation of a new offensive system, the Eagles should see an uptick in production from not just Lemon but also many of their key stars. Several Eagles players are in line to benefit from a breath of fresh air under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. In addition to Lemon, the Eagles have added Elijah Moore, Dontayvion Wicks, and Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, all of whom should benefit from each other's skillset.
