The Philadelphia Eagles finally have the last two missing pieces to the active roster before they face off against the Washington Commanders in Week 18.
This final regular season game will be different with the starters for the Eagles resting to prepare for the postseason. That means a lot of the same players Eagles fans saw in the preseason will be taking the field for this matchup, and the team's latest moves show that.
Just before the game, the Eagles announced the final moves of the week as they elevated long snapper Charley Hughlett and defensive back Brandon Johnson to the active roster. Hughlett has been the starting long snapper all year and was only released to try to help make some roster gymnastics. Johnson will be helping in the secondary with starters like Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and Reed Blankenship expected to rest.
Commanders getting better idea on who with the Eagles will play
Hughlett was no surprise at a move, as he had to be moved up to handle the long snapping duties. He has been great this season as the Eagles are actually undefeated when he is in the lineup.
Johnson has only played in the last two games this season on special teams, making one tackle in the 29-18 win over the Commanders two weeks ago. He should be getting more reps on defense and gaining the experience he needs, as he has been a wide receiver his whole NFL career before this season.
The Eagles should have plenty of other standout backups who will play in this game. Some of the biggest names include Tanner McKee, Tank Bigsby, Darius Cooper, Ty Robinson, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., and more.

It will have to be the Eagles' bench that will help them try to clinch the number two seed in the NFC with a win and a Chicago Bears loss. If they can do that, it will be a legend told from generation to generation in Philly.
