Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft is in the books, and the Philadelphia Eagles had quite the eventful opening night.
The Eagles had to trade up with the Dallas Cowboys to the 20th pick to select USC wide receiver Makai Lemon while fending off the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were on a call with him during their pick. It was a close call for Philly, as they nearly lost all their players on their big board.
Entering Day 2, they have a lot of work they still need to do, leaving fans wondering what they could do to continue to improve the roster. Here's a Day 2 mock draft with their three selections.
Philadelphia Eagles' 2026 Day 2 Mock Draft
Round 2, Pick 54: A.J. Haulcy, S (LSU)
Edge rusher could be in play for the Eagles, but all indications have been that they will likely trade for Minnesota Vikings edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. That leaves Philly needing to find help at safety in the secondary, and Haulcy is the guy who could replace Reed Blankenship, who departed for the Houston Texans.
Last season at LSU, he had 89 tackles, four pass deflections, three interceptions, and one forced fumble. Marcus Epps and Michael Carter II are expected to compete for one of the starting spots, with Andrew Mukuba getting the other one. Haulcy could be in the same boat as Mukuba last year and jump in as a Day 1 starter after being a second-round pick.
Round 3, Pick 68: Caleb Tiernan, OT (Northwestern)
Well, the Eagles couldn't find their future replacement for Lane Johnson at right tackle, and they still might not be able to at this point, but depth is going to be key. Tiernan feels like the next logical choice for a developmental offensive lineman, as he allowed 13 pressures, four quarterback hits, and three sacks in 402 pass blocking snaps last season with the Wildcats.
Brett Toth and Matt Pryor are out the door, so this is more about getting the depth needed on the line. Tiernan may not be the successor to Johnson, but he will at least give them a really solid tackle that can be either a great depth piece for a few years or a future starter.
Round 3, Pick 98: Sam Roush, TE (Stanford)
A long time ago, the Eagles used a Day 2 selection on a Stanford tight end named Zach Ertz, who ended up being pretty good for them, so why not do it again? Roush made 119 receptions for 1,201 yards and four touchdowns in his four seasons at the program.

The Eagles need to find the future at tight end, with Dallas Goedert most likely playing his final season in Philly. Roush could use a year behind Goedert to learn, but the pass-catching abilities of Roush are there to have any Eagles fan excited for what he could do in this offense.
