Eagles give confirmation on Patriots news fans expected (not involving A.J. Brown)

That's good to know.

The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots appear to be attached at the hip with news this offseason that all stems from the A.J. Brown trade rumors.

While those talks have died down, some new news has come out that the Eagles and Patriots were in talks about having a joint practice together this summer during training camp. That report turned out to be true, and it will indeed happen.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni confirmed the news to the media that the team and New England will have a joint practice this summer. Last year, the Eagles did it with the Cleveland Browns and had one with the Patriots back in 2024.

Eagles and Patriots to have joint practice in 2026

A move like this is not surprising, since the Eagles and Patriots are geographically close. It's pretty common to see the two teams play each other in preseason since the NFL likes to have teams that are close in location play each other.

This joint practice might go a bit differently than usual and could attract a lot more media attention. If the Eagles end up trading Brown to the Patriots, as many believe will happen, it'll be interesting to see how Brown reacts to playing the Eagles on the opposite side.

Eagles fans can imagine all the headlines that will come from the joint practice, whether it's Brown looking to prove something to the Eagles or Philly trying to do the same to Brown. There will no doubt be a lot of cameras on hand to see how the Eagles and Brown do together on the field.

Of course, Eagles fans won't truly know if that will be a reality until after June 1, when Brown is expected to be traded. For now, the Eagles and Brown in a Patriots will have to be left to the imagination of every fan since it is already happening.
