Always steadfast when it comes to building in the trenches, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to host an absolute mountain of a man. Dubbed "the human skyscraper," Miami University offensive tackle Markel Bell is paying a visit to Philadelphia.

Ryan Fowler shared the update, honing in on a few numbers that signify just how efficiently Bell performed this past season - while also rattling off measurements worthy of a double take:

"The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting Miami OT Markel Bell for a 30 visit.

Massive ballplayer at 6’9”, 346 lbs with 36 3/8 on the arm — 6th longest ever measured at the combine. Didn’t allow a single sack in 558 pass pro snaps in ‘25."

Locking horns in practice with a pair of elite pass rushing teammates in Rueben Bain Jr. and potential draft target Akheem Mesidor proved to be a classic case of 'iron sharpens iron', as Bell remained virtually flawless in the passing phase this past season.

Tasked with covering the blindside of quarterback Carson Beck, Bell utilized his power and 97th percentile wingspan to keep his signal caller clean.

Bell quietly rose through the ranks early on, as a high schooler with no major offers, first playing locally at Holmes Community College. After two dominant campaigns, though, Bell worked his way onto the radar of major programs, eventually transferring to "The U", where his vast potential was subsequently unlocked. Spanning two seasons on the Miami campus, including 21 starts in 29 games, the Cleveland, Mississippi native garnered Third-Team All-ACC honors.

While his pass-blocking prowess is already impressive, the run-blocking phase is where most of Bell's ongoing development really needs crucial refinement at the next level. Scouts seem to peg him somewhere in the 4th to 5th round range, as Bell offers great upside, but is certainly a work in progress in key areas.

With Fred Johnson back in the fold, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has the backup swing tackle spot locked down. Don't be shocked if "the human skyscraper" is a mid-round target for Philadelphia, with an eye towards developing the towering Bell for tackle duties down the road.
