Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants... So many memories... We could talk about this for hours, and though each matchup has its chance of great singular moments, we find ourselves daydreaming about DeSean Jackson's 2010 punt return constantly.

That never gets old, but DeSean can't be teleported into the 2024 season. Philly will have to work with what they have, and this roster is working through some challenges with injuries.

Eagles announce roster moves on Friday and Saturday ahead of their game vs. Giants.

Philly opened 21-day practice windows for Sydney Brown (Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform) and WR Ainias Smith (Injured Reserve; Designated for Return) on October 7th. They have until October 27th to determine whether or not they'll elevate them to the roster. If not, they return to the IR for the remainder of the season.

A practice window was also opened for Albert Okwuegbunam (Injured Reserve; Designated for Return). The same rules apply. His window closes on November 6th.

Jordan Mailata was placed on injured reserve on October 18th. He isn't eligible to return until the Thursday night, November 14th game vs. Washington, but as John McMullen reports, the Nov. 24 game at the L.A. Rams seems like more likely return date.

That comes after a mini-bye and a full week of practice. We'll see what happens, but there's a game to play this Sunday. And, it's an important one.

Philly dropped their injury report on Friday. Here's a refresher. Dallas Goedert, and Byron Young have been ruled out of Week 7's game. Eli Ricks and Darius Slay were questionable.

They also announced two other roster announcements on Saturday. They are activating Sydney Brown from the injured reserve and are elevating Jack Driscoll from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game.

Inactives were announced 90 minutes before kickoff. Here's what we know so far. Darius Slay is active!

The Eagles will face some challenges with important guys out, but that can be said about every NFL team in every NFL city. Let's get this win today!

Offensive Impact

Dallas Goedert is a big loss, but Philly doesn't target him nearly enough. The big news here is Jordan Mailata is out. That means Fred Johnson gets the start at left tackle and will spend much of his day lined up across from Brian Burns. Pay attention as that's one of several matchups to key in on.

Defensive Impact

Philly is relatively healthy on the defensive side of the ball. That's a good thing. Byron Young is out, but Philly will have Jalen Carter, Milton Williams, Jordan Davis, and Moro Ojomu available. That being said, the interior of the defensive line should be fine.

Kickoff approaches. MetLife Stadium provides the backdrop. Things didn't go well here when Philly visited last January during the 2023-24 regular-season finale. How about some revenge? We mean 'revenge' for Saquon Barkley AND the Philadelphia Eagles.
