And just when Philadelphia Eagles fans thought general manager Howie Roseman was done adding talent to the roster, this team just got better.

The Eagles announced a wave of moves to the roster as they first announced that they have signed offensive guard Michael Jordan (no, not that one) and edge rusher A.J. Epenesa. They also released linebackers Chandler Martin and Isiah King.

Epenesa is the big signing the Eagles made after his nice six-year run with the Buffalo Bills. He racked up 135 tackles, 53 quarterback hits, 29 tackles for loss, 24 sacks, 21 pass deflections, five forced fumbles, four interceptions, three fumble recoveries, one safety, and one touchdown in 91 games.

Eagles add some stellar depth on the offensive and defensive lines

The move to sign Epenesa is a massive one for the Eagles as it gives them more depth at edge rusher than they needed. So far, the main guys are Jonathan Greenard, Jalyx Hunt, and Nolan Smith.

There have been questions about the guys who were behind them: Arnold Ebiketie, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, and rookie seventh-round pick Keyshawn James-Newby. Tryon-Shoyinka has been making some headlines as the lone Eagles player who has not shown up to mandatory minicamp.

Instantly, the Eagles upgrade the edge rusher room to the point that Epenesa will be in the rotation for Philly, with Greenard and Smith most likely still the starters. It will be Epenesa and Hunt as the next line of defense, as they will rotate in there.

While this isn't the Earth-shattering kind of move like it was when the Eagles traded for Greenard, it's a big move that gives them great depth and a solid backup. Philly is in a much better position on defense now that Epenesa is there helping out.
