Of course, when the Philadelphia Eagles lose a football game, that's when everyone comes out from their caves to drop off bad news at the front door.

The Eagles are coming off a devastating 23-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card game. It featured another lackluster second half from the offense, which produced only 114 yards and six points.

While Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts' performance isn't being examined as closely, with offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo facing massive heat for another bad game, there might be more to the story than meets the eye. Former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy spoke on his "Speakeasy" show and shared some interesting insider news that might stir up the fan base.

“I did a lot of digging… I know some people, and the problem is, we can’t do different exotic looks, different formations, different motions because I’m hearing that he (Jalen Hurts) can’t really do it.”

Was LeSean McCoy's comments enough to save Kevin Patullo or just more Jalen Hurts nonsense?

A lot of criticism has been given to Patullo for the way he called the 49ers game. On passing plays, it was a bunch of out routes, hitches, and slants with some screens thrown in there. As for the running game, it's more about the timing of the plays. He ran too many first-down runs, and San Francisco's defense knew it was coming after a while.

Now, McCoy is saying that Patullo is calling these plays simply because Hurts can't handle the offense's complex plays? That seems like a bit of a stretch and just another excuse to throw in a Hurts criticism for clicks.

Hurts did just fine in Kellen Moore's offense last year, which had more motion and complex routes being run, and he was good in it. Sure, he wasn't putting up insane passing numbers, but he was accurate and got the job done.

Everyone knows at this point that Hurts has some limitations in his pocket passing. From his deep ball accuracy to panicking and rolling to his right way too soon, but he can handle any kind of offense.

Almost every year he's been in the NFL and in college, he's had a new play caller. All of a sudden, he can't run a certain offense?

Not sure how many Eagles fans are going to buy that, but if it is true, then, unfortunately, there might be enough to think that not all the blame for the 2025 season falls on Patullo.
