No one could have imagined that Quinyon Mitchell would end up being the All-Pro cornerback he is now with the Philadelphia Eagles after just two seasons coming out of Toledo.
Mitchell has been spectacular to watch, which has opened the door for the Eagles to look to Toledo for defensive players. There are a few in the 2026 NFL Draft that might be good options, including one the Eagles just met with.
NFL reporter Ryan Fowler shared that Toledo defensive back Andre Fuller recently had a virtual meeting with the Eagles, as the two sides have met multiple times throughout the offseason. Fuller was a first-team All-MAC conference selection after racking up 49 tackles, 10 pass deflections, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
The Eagles met with Andre Fuller and looking poised to potentially pick him
Fuller appears to be a Day 2 or 3 pick that the Eagles could consider for the secondary. In recent years, between Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and Andrew Mukuba, Philly has done a great job of finding good talent in the secondary to develop and grow within the team.
At the NFL Combine, Fuller ran a 4.49-second 40-yard dash, a vertical of 35 inches, and a 1.56-second 10-yard split. He put up good numbers compared to the rest of the defensive backs; he might not have been the fastest, but he showed strong abilities in the workout.
There are some bigger needs for the Eagles than at cornerback in the draft, and they might look at other options like offensive tackle, edge rusher, and safety before going in other directions. Fuller might be too good to pass up on if they get into the later rounds and he is still available.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said it himself last year that they can't have too much depth at cornerback, so there's a strong chance that fans could see Fuller in the midnight green uniforms in 2026.
