Could it be that easy?

Last season was the first time in two decades that an NFC East team won the division in back-to-back years, and it was the Philadelphia Eagles.

That path to a third straight NFC East division title might be a lot easier than some fans expected in Philly. Sharp Football Analysis shared data on the strength of schedule across all 32 NFL teams for the 2026 season, and it worked out favorably for the Eagles.

The Eagles have the seventh-easiest schedule in the NFL in 2026 and the easiest among the NFC East teams as they are projected to win 10.5 games. As for the other NFC East teams, they are going to have it a lot tougher, as here's a look at where each ranks:

  • New York Giants - 24th (Win Projection: 7.5)
  • Washington Commanders - 25th (Win Projection: 7.5)
  • Dallas Cowboys - 29th (Win Projection: 8.5)

Eagles clearly have an easy road to another NFC East title in 2026

In reality, the schedule is a bit of a challenge for the Eagles, but given how bad the NFC East was last year, it looks easier. There are plenty of playoff teams and teams with winning records in 2025 that they are facing in 2026:

  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Seattle Seahawks
  • Houston Texans
  • Carolina Panthers
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Chicago Bears
  • San Francisco 49ers
  • Jacksonville Jaguars

That is not going to be easy for the Eagles to handle, and keep in mind that the NFC East got a lot better during the offseason. All three teams revamped their coaching staffs, adding new talent to their rosters, so it might be more difficult.

At the same time, the Eagles got better this offseason and still have a far superior roster than most teams in the NFL. There might have been some issues with coaching in 2025 with the Eagles, but the talent level is still crazy on offense and defense for Philly.

All signs point to the Eagles taking the division again and rolling into the playoffs with momentum, thanks to an easy schedule.
