This offseason is going to leave the Philadelphia Eagles with a lot of big names they need to decide whether to bring back.
Some of those players who played a massive role in the team's success in 2025 include Jaelan Phillips, Nakobe Dean, and Reed Blankenship. These core guys helped turn around a defense that struggled early in the season, then turned it on late in the year, carrying the team to the playoffs.
There's going to be a lot of Eagles fans who are going to want to bring all three guys back onto the roster. Fans are forgetting one Philly player who made just as big an impact on the roster, who the team must bring back.
Eagles fans can't forget about punter Braden Mann
Punter Braden Mann signed a two-year contract with the Eagles back in 2024 to remain as the starter. Now, Mann is free to sign elsewhere, and the Eagles would be wise to bring him back.
Mann was one of the best punters in the NFL in 2025, ranking sixth in the league in average yards per punt (49.9) and 11th in net yards per punt (42.8). He was also tied for ninth with the longest punt in the NFL with a 70-yarder.
The Eagles first signed Mann in 2023 and have produced his best three seasons of his career, as he was previously the punter for the New York Jets from 2020 through 2022. His 2025 season was the best of his six-year NFL career.

Eagles fans might not think too much of the team re-signing Mann as a big deal, but the field position game is going to be bigger than ever in the 2026 season to help the defense as much as possible. The best defense can sometimes be the punter and where he places the opponents.
