The Philadelphia Eagles just cannot catch a break with their offensive coordinator search. Literally.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to hire former Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson to be named to the same position. Eagles fans might remember that Robinson previously interviewed for the Eagles' offensive coordinator job and was considered a top-five option.
Robinson spent the last two seasons as the Falcons' offensive coordinator until his head coach, Raheem Morris, was fired. Many NFL teams pursued Robinson for offensive coordinator jobs, including the Eagles.
What's next for the Eagles in their OC coaching search?
While Robinson was not the best name on the list, he was one Eagles fans tracked and probably would have been okay with. He was great with establishing a great running game in Atlanta, which was a plus for the Eagles, as they need a new scheme to help get Saquon Barkley going.
The options are starting to get very thin for the Eagles with offensive coordinator candidates, with all the top ones dropping. Mike McDaniel and Brian Daboll are both off the market with Robinson as well.
One name every Eagles fan is screaming for the team to go after is former Arizona Cardinals head coach and Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. Before Kellen Moore was hired as the offensive coordinator in 2024, Kingsbury was a finalist for the job with the Eagles, as he went on to take the Washington job.
There are two other names to watch for with the job: former New York Giants offensive coordinator and interim head coach Mike Kafka and current Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter, who could be top candidates. Kafka previously played quarterback for the Eagles and has a relationship with Barkley from their time in New York. Cooter was a consultant to Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni in his first year in Philly.

Eagles fans are not feeling great about any option anymore, as they are starting to fall down the list. Something has to give soon enough, right?
