The Philadelphia Eagles' 2026 preseason and training camp are going to be a fascinating one, not because of all the position battles that will happen, but because it's the first time A.J. Brown will face off against his old team in a New England Patriots uniform.

Brown was traded from the Eagles to the Patriots, with Philly receiving two draft picks in the process. There were discussions last month that the Eagles and Patriots would hold joint practices in August, since the two teams are scheduled to face off in the preseason.

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel announced that the team will have joint practices with the Eagles on August 19 and 20. This will be the first time the Eagles face off against Brown on the opposite side of the field.

The first intriguing part of the practice is who on the Eagles will be covering Brown on defense. Most likely, that role will go to All-Pro Quinyon Mitchell, who has two years of experience covering Brown in practice, so he should be able to lock down the former Eagle.

This will go down as one of the most anticipated joint practices in franchise history, as everyone will want to see how Brown reacts to the Eagles. While Brown has the love and respect of everyone in Philly's locker room, it'll be interesting to see whether Jalen Hurts, Nick Sirianni, and Howie Roseman interact with Brown during practices or keep to themselves.

Eagles fans are looking forward to seeing the footage from those two days of practice to see how Philly can get their revenge on Brown before the two teams meet in the preseason matchup.
