Philadelphia Eagles fans are about two weeks away from when general manager Howie Roseman is expected to trade wide receiver A.J. Brown.
More than likely, Brown is going to be traded to the New England Patriots for at least either a 2027 or 2028 first-round pick. NFL insider James Palmer appeared on Kay Adams's show "Up & Adams," where he shared what Roseman could be thinking regarding a trade with Brown.
"If you think Howie isn't calling every team, you're a fool. Howie has no deadline. He is in no rush. He doesn't need to do a deal June 1. He can give it weeks, a few months."
James Palmer believes Howie Roseman is making calls about A.J. Brown still
There can definitely be some truth to this, as Roseman is a deal-maker and willing to work with any team to get a trade done. Trading Brown away is one of the Eagles' top priorities until the 2026 regular season begins.
Philly has to wait until after June 1 to complete the trade with Brown to ensure they can save money against the cap. Once June 2 hits, a Brown trade will cut the dead cap in half and save $7 million towards the cap for 2026.
Recent reports indicate that the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, and Jacksonville Jaguars are linked to a potential trade involving Brown. During the early part of the offseason, the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, and Baltimore Ravens all made initial calls about what it would take to acquire him.
A lot of this could also be just a smokescreen and a way to make the Patriots raise their asking price for a trade involving Brown. It still seems more than likely that Brown will be with New England by next month, as Roseman doesn't want to prolong the trade talks despite what Palmer has said.

Of course, a lot can happen in the next two weeks, but Brown won't be in Philly for long, and Roseman will get this deal done soon enough.
