Eagles' Nick Sirianni said it all with his response to A.J. Brown question

Very telling.

It's been over a week since the Philadelphia Eagles traded away wide receiver A.J. Brown, and while it was the most unsurprising blockbuster trade in NFL history, it is still a hot topic.

Philly sports media have heard from many of the Eagles players about it after the trade, but not from head coach Nick Sirianni. One of the first questions asked at his press conference was his reaction to Brown not being in Philly anymore.

"Yeah, I mean, I would say there was a lot of good years here, right?" Sirianni said via The Athletic's Zach Berman. "And done a lot of good things with AJ here, 2 times in the Super Bowl. I think he was All-Pro multiple times, Pro Bowl multiple times. And so I would say it was a great— it was a good run. But really excited about that room that we have."

After that quote, Sirianni continued by talking about the wide receivers and how excited he is about the new room that was put in place. He shouted out DeVonta Smith, rookie Makai Lemon, and Dontayvion Wicks as the top three receivers, with Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, Elijah Moore, Darius Cooper, and Johnny Wilson getting mentions.

If that comment meant anything, it's that Sirianni is like every Eagles fan and wants to move on from the A.J. Brown storyline as well. He wants to focus on his current players and getting them ready for a critical 2026 season for the team.

Sirianni also showed that he doesn't seem concerned about losing Brown in the trade, as he's got a deep wide receiver room ready to explode. Smith is ready to break out as WR1, and Lemon has all the tools to be a perfect WR2 in the offense.

The Eagles look like a really solid roster on paper, but it's clear that everyone in the organization is completely over A.J. Brown and his drama. Sirianni is ready to move forward with his new group and get back to being Super Bowl contenders in 2026.
