The first day of the legal tampering period was about as forgetful as it gets for the Philadelphia Eagles.

They lost multiple key free agents in the process, including Jaelan Phillips and Jahan Dotson. That doesn't mean that Philly had a completely bad day, as they at least got some good news to end the opening day.

NFL insider Tom Pelissero shared the list of compensatory picks for the 2026 NFL Draft after one day, noting that the Eagles tied for the league lead with four. Here is where the picks lie:

  • Round 3, Pick 98
  • Round 4, Pick 137
  • Round 5, Pick 178
  • Round 6, Pick 215

Eagles have four comp picks for 2026 NFL Draft

It wasn't a good day at all, with more questions than answers about the roster entering 2026, but the picks will be important. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has talked about building the roster through the draft and retaining that top talent from there.

Philly has found success in the draft with picks like Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, and many more. That foundation has helped the Eagles win two Super Bowls and appear in three since 2017.

The Eagles will be able to use these picks to not only fill gaps on the roster, but could be used to make trades to move up in the draft. They now have 10 picks after gaining four off the comp picks, as they gained one from the first day of the legal tampering period.
