It has been a busy last day for the Philadelphia Eagles as they secure the final signings to bring the roster up to 90 players.
The Eagles just started their first of two days of rookie minicamp, and six of the eight draft picks have signed contracts. There are eight undrafted free agents who have also signed contracts, as the team officially announced them:
- Kapena Gushiken, DB (Ole Miss)
- Tucker Large, DB (Washington State)
- Deontae Lawson, LB (Alabama)
- Maximus Pulley, DB (Wofford)
- Jaeden Roberts, G (Alabama)
- Rocco Underwood, LS (Florida)
- Joshua Weru, EDGE (Arizona State)
- Dae'Quan Wright, TE (Ole Miss)
Eagles sign eight undrafted rookies to the roster officially
Lawson has been a popular name as the undrafted rookie with the best shot of making the 53-man roster. He has familiarity with Eagles linebacker Jihaad Campbell, as the two played together at Alabama.
An underrated player to watch out for is long snapper Rocco Underwood, who might end up being the starter for Philly. Charley Hughlett had been the starter, but was not re-signed by the Eagles.
The interesting part about the undrafted free agents that signed is that five of the eight played in the SEC. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has always been a fan of players from the conference, so no surprise that he wanted to get more of them from there.
So far, the Eagles have first-round pick Makai Lemon, fifth-round pick Cole Payton, and seventh-round pick Cole Wisniewski, seventh-round pick Keyshawn James-Newby, sixth-round pick Micah Morris, and seventh-round pick Uar Bernard all under contract. They still need to get second-round pick Eli Stowers and third-round pick Markel Bell to sign.

The Eagles almost got all their rookies signed, but it's still a good sign that they have moved quickly on most.
