The Philadelphia Eagles' eight draft picks have arrived for rookie minicamp and got a little bit more than just a job introduction from the coaching staff.
Six of the eight draft picks signed contracts with the Eagles before minicamp, with second-round pick Eli Stowers and third-round pick Markel Bell as the only unsigned rookies. One thing all eight draft picks got, though, is their new numbers on the team:
- Makai Lemon, WR - 9
- Cole Payton, QB - 10
- Cole Wisniewski, S - 21
- Keyshawn James-Newby, EDGE - 50
- Markel Bell, OT - 72
- Micah Morris, OG - 76
- Eli Stowers, TE - 87
- Uar Bernard, DL - 93
New jersey numbers for all eight Eagles draft picks
Lemon was the first to reveal his number, having announced that he would be number nine. He had talked with former Eagles legend Nick Foles about having the number and got his blessing.
Interestingly enough, there are now two number 10s on the team with Payton and punter Braden Mann. It's been fascinating to see whether Mann changed his number and what the story behind it is.
James-Newby will have some big shoes to fill as Jaelan Phillips was just wearing that number 50 jersey in his half-season with the Eagles last year. The number 50 appears to be staying within the defense,
Keep in mind that the numbers are subject to change at any time, and when training camp ends, these rookies could decide at the last second to change their jersey numbers. Watch for a few of them to have to do that.

There's still a lot to happen in the offseason with minicamp and OTAs before training camp is here in a few months, but fans can at least identify the players on the field.
