Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and his family were the target of a home invasion on Saturday morning, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office.

The home invasion happened around 5:00 am EST in the Malvern section of Tredyffrin Township. When police arrived, the suspects fled in an GMC SUV, which the Chester County Districk Attorney's Office has posted an image on the vehicle in their release. Police say that vehicle may not be the only one involved.

Barkley's family was inside the home at the time, but no one was hurt. Police believe that nothing was taken out of there as well.

"We are incredibly grateful that the Barkley family was not injured during this incident," the D.A.'s office said. "We are asking the public to help us identify those responsible by checking any home security cameras for suspicious activity in the area around 5:00 a.m. If you saw anything unusual or have video that may assist investigators, please contact the Tredyffrin Township Police Department immediately."

Barkley has been with the Eagles since he signed a free agent contract back in 2024. He helped the franchise win its second Super Bowl in history during that season, thanks to a 2,005-yard and 13-touchdown performance that landed him an AP Offensive Player of the Year Award.

During last offseason, Barkley signed a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension with the Eagles, including $36 million guaranteed and up to $15 million in incentives. In 2025, was considered a down season for Barkley after rushing for just 1,140 yards and seven touchdowns.

Police added that the incident might be connected to a string of break-ins with other professional athletes, but no official word if a connection has been made. Federal and other law enforcement agencies are working together on the incident.
