The countdown is on for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown to be traded from the team, with some of his teammates speaking out about him.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts' comments on Brown made headlines as he talked about them being on good terms. Hurts wasn't the only one who spoke about Brown as running back Saquon Barkley also shared his thoughts on the three-time Pro Bowl pass catcher and what kind of person and teammate Brown is.
“It’s going to be a hard time for me to say anything bad about A.J. Brown," Barkley said via Eagles reporter Anthony DiBona. "I’m a big fan of A.J. Brown. One of my really good friends. One of my favorite teammates that I’ve ever been around. I just respect him as a man.
But this is the business. It’s the NFL.”

Barkley and Brown have been reportedly close since the running back joined the team in 2024. Eagles fans saw Barkley at Brown's wedding recently alongside other teammates, including Jalyx Hunt.
The Eagles' offense is going through a transition, with Brown no longer in the picture and a brand-new wide receiver room in place. Joining the new number one receiver, DeVonta Smith, are rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon, Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, and Elijah Moore.
Even Barkley is going through the changes under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, as the 2024 Offensive Player of the Year spoke about running more plays under center and what kind of advantages that is. This is all good things the offense needed after last year, especially for Barkley, who had a down season, averaging just 4.1 yards per carry.

It's only a matter of time before A.J. Brown's trade to the New England Patriots gets announced in the next week or two, but for the Eagles, they are moving on with their lives without him. Eagles fans are already recognizing the kind of player and person they will miss when Brown is gone. It's a move that has to happen, though.
