As the Eagles recover from a close win against the Buffalo Bills, two rookies were called upon to assist the team as Philadelphia makes a push for the second seed in the NFC playoff picture. Led by Andrew Mukuba and Jihaad Campbell, for most of the year, the 2025 rookie class has cooled off a bit with Mukuba on injured reserve, and Nakobe Dean taking more reps from Campbell.
In Week 18, the rookie class remains top-heavy, with Campbell and Darius Cooper the only exceptions; the rest provide special teams depth.
Eagles' Week 17 Rookie Report Card
Jihaad Campbell
In Campbell's return to the starting lineup, he earned PFF's highest graded player of the game, which was highlighted by a hustle fumble recovery. Campbell put together six tackles, allowing two receptions on four targets for 13 yards, and one quarterback pressure, along with the fumble recovery. Campbell appeared in 71 snaps on defense out of 76 defensive snaps, along with two snaps on special teams.
Overall Grade: A-
Darius Cooper
Cooper has seen an increased workload as the Eagles' WR4. He saw his second-highest snap count percentage, only behind his Week 8 performance. Cooper is seeing more opportunities, possibly making a push for Jahan Dotson's WR3 position in 2026, with Dotson in the final year of his contract. Cooper totaled one reception for four yards, playing 17 snaps on offense, and 10 snaps on special teams.
Overall Grade: B
Best of the Rest:
Ty Robinson saw action on three snaps on special teams with the return of Jalen Carter. Robinson's role in 2025 has been limited; however, it could expand in Week 18 depending on the usage of Eagles starters in the final matchup of the season.
Smael Mondon Jr. remains steadfast in his special teams duties, registering two tackles on 16 special teams snaps. Mondon currently sits at 289 total snaps and should be able to surpass 300 total snaps in his rookie year
Brandon Johnson logged five special teams snaps after being temporarily elevated from the practice squad for the second game in a row. A 2025 undrafted free agent out of Oregon, Johnson has replaced 2025 fifth-round pick Mac McWilliams in his primary special teams role.
No Snaps: Mac McWilliams, Drew Kendall
McWilliams hasn't played since Week 8, and amid the plethora of injuries at cornerback has been a disappointment in helping an oft-injured secondary. Kendall did not participate in any special teams units, which has been his primary source of playing time in 2025.

Overall Grade: B-
The rookie class has plenty of upside with Campbell and Mukuba, along with 2025 undrafted free agent Cooper. As Week 18 comes around, Eagles fans hopefully will see more from Johnson and Mondon, along with Kendall, on an oft-injured offensive line that needs some time to recover. Overall, the class has proven to be extremely capable, with several pieces already making an impact for the future.
