4 Eagles who were the hammer in Week 14, four who were nails

It was a rough affair in Arlington. Let's talk about some of the individual performances we saw from our Philadelphia Eagles.

Hammer Jake Elliott, kicker

While it's boring to hand MVP trophies to special teams players, if we were to name the top candidates for team MVP, it's hard to ignore Philly's kicker. All he can do is do his job when called upon.

There are times when it feels like Jake Elliott is this team's chief scoring threat. In Week 14, he led the Eagles in points scored. He made both of his field goal attempts. He made his lone extra-point attempt. Ladies and gentlemen, you can trust Jake Elliott even if you don't trust anyone else.

Hammer: Jordan Mailata

The pride of Jeff Stoutland University, Philly's left tackle played well in Week 14. He protected Jalen Hurts' blindside. He didn't allow a sack, He continues to be a bulldozer in the running game.

Hammer: Fletcher Cox

We kick guys in the tail when they need it. We also have to pat them on the back when they need that. Many of us had given up on Fletcher Cox, myself included. He has proven me wrong.

He's evolved into a phenomenal leader. He has turned that clock back some, and his forced fumble led to Philly's lone Week 14 touchdown. It's just sad it didn't spark a comeback.
