Beloved Eagles legend helps kick off Philly's Week 2 tussle in primetime
The NFL season gets underway in September. Christmas won't come until more than three months later, but if there was ever a such thing as an early present, this would be it. ESPN made it official on the eve of pro football's official schedule release that the G.O.A.T. Jason Kelce would be joining the new Monday Night Football Countdown Crew with Scott Van Pelt, Marcus Spears, and Ryan Clark. Don't look now, but the hits keep coming for Eagles fans.
Yes friends... An early Christmas present will be unwrapped in Week 2.
The Eagles will host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 on Monday Night Football.
We have long known the Philadelphia Eagles will tackle the Green Bay Packers in Brazil during pro football's kickoff weekend (pun intended). Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the New Orleans Saints are the Week 3 opponent as Philly will hit the road to visit the Big Easy for a date in Caesar's Superdome.
It appears that we know who Week 2's opponent is. Philly draws those other 'birds' from The Dirty.
Thank Jordan Schultz for the heads up. He reports the Atlanta Falcons will visit Lincoln Financial Field in primetime for a clash on Monday Night Football.
Yes friends, that does indeed mean that our nights will begin by watching our beloved Jason Kelce during the pregame broadcast. Too bad, we have to watch Troy Aikman handle color commentary during the broadcast.
Something tells us we won't be watching the Manningcast either. There's a former Giants quarterback on that one. here's what we propose. Turn on the game. Turn the sound down and try to sync what you're watching on TV with Merrill Reese and Mike Quick's radio call.
Doggone it! That's what we intend to do. Trust us. It sounds more difficult than it actually is.
