Best NFL Prop Bets for Eagles vs. Patriots in NFL Week 1 (New OC, same Birds)

There's a new offensive coordinator in Philadelphia, but AJ Brown is unstoppable no matter who is calling plays.

The Philadelphia Eagles nearly made it to the mountaintop last year, but like Sisyphus they’ll start right back at the bottom in 2023. This time without Shane Steichen to call plays for Jalen Hurts and Philly’s loaded offense.

We’ll get into a few prop bets for the Eagles with Brian Johnson calling plays for the offense a year after their big breakout. Before we get into those prop picks, you need to take a look at this great promo from the FanDuel Sportsbook.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Eagles vs. Patriots

  • AJ Brown Over 67.5 Receiving Yards
  • Rashaad Penny Anytime TD
  • Ezekiel Elliot Anytime TD

AJ Brown Over 67.5 Receiving Yards

How could we not back AJ Brown. He’s a physical monster and we saw in the Super Bowl that even if you double team him, he does not care. He finished last season averaging 88 yards per game, so I feel pretty good taking the over at 67.5.

Rashaad Penny Anytime TD

Rashaad Penny is legitimately one of the most talented running backs in all of the NFL, but he can't stay on the field.

Let's back him while we can.

Last season, Penny went for 346 yards and two touchdowns in five games, but in that time he averaged 6.1 yards per carry and was first in the NFL in yards after contact per rush. He’s a freakishly great running back behind an excellent offensive line. It's a shame he’s made of glass, but in Week 1 let’s count on him.

Ezekiel Elliot Anytime TD (+385)

Zeke was pretty much brought into New England for one reason, he is still a great short yardage running back. He’s so good at converting on third and short and around the goal line, so I expect him to take the goal line carries away from Rhamondre Stevenson, who is rightfully the No. 1 back in New England.

It doesn’t feel good to bet on a former Cowboy playing against the Eagles, but we can’t only bet on Eagles props all year.
