DeSean Jackson shares one of his first impressions of Eagles star QB Jalen Hurts

You've probably figured this out by now, but football is a lot of fun. Forget about everything the Philadelphia Eagles are doing. Forget about the games. We could spend hours discussing College Football 25 or Madden NFL ratings.

We could hang out at a tailgate all day. Heck, depending on where you're partying, it can sometimes be sad to be forced to leave the back of someone's pickup truck to go and watch the game you're supposed to be attending.

Sure, it's training camp season. Sure, there's so much we could say about the first three practices, but we came across an interview done by Colin Cowherd with DeSean Jackson.

DeSean Jackson shares an intriguing story on The Herd about Jalen Hurts.

Remember those EF Hutton commercials? Or, did we just show our age there? Those who remember them will remember the slogan. "When EF Hutton talks, people listen".

DeSean Jackson is sort of like that too. When he talks, Birds fans listen. His recent podcast episode with LeSean McCoy, one discussing Chip Kelly, sent shockwaves through the internet. His recent visit with Colin Cowherd on FS1's highly popular The Herd probably won't break social media, but it's 22 minutes well spent. It will most certainly keep your attention.

D-Jax and Colin's discussion spanned everything from his iconic TD reception from the arm of Michael Vick on Monday Night Football to his battles with Aqib Talib, Darrelle Revis, and Richard Sherman. It's what he said about Jalen Hurts that caught our attention though.

He shared one of his first impressions from back in the day when Philly's franchise signal-caller was still a redheaded guy from North Dakota. While discussing what it will take for him to identify the command in some of these rookie quarterbacks entering the NFL season, he used someone we all know to discuss what moxie looks like, Eagles QB1 Jalen Hurts.

Recently, we expressed concern about two current Eagles' rankings on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2024 countdown. There's another side to that coin though. It's hard to argue with a player's knowledge of this subject.

Who better to rank NFL stars than the guys who play with and against them? That's another reason why DeSean's words hold weight.

There will never be another. We knew he had to get old at some point, but we're selfish. We would have liked to see him haul in a few more TD passes from Jalen Hurts (remember DeSean's bomb from Jalen in Arlington versus the Cowboys was the final TD reception of D-Jax's career).

For now, we'll settle for the stories. Training camp has provided a ton, but we'll get back to those at some point. When DeSean talks we listen. We'll now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
