Eagles announce 10 roster moves as they prepare for upcoming Colts visit
- Two preseason games are in our rearview mirror.
- One remains, and then, the Eagles have decisions to make.
- Philly welcomes a familiar face back to the NovaCare Complex on Tuesday.
- The roster gets a slight facelift ahead of the action.
Who knew? The Philadelphia Eagles' second preseason game gave us much to talk about. Sadly, some of the subject matter isn't what we would like it to be. We've discussed injuries, players seemingly headed in the wrong direction, and our feelings on whether or not Tanner McKee might already be better than Marcus Mariota.
There were also more positive things to focus on. Though scary, Tyrie Cleveland and Moro Ojomo's injuries may not keep them out of action for as long as some of us feared (more on Cleveland in a second). We have also found reason to be proud of some of our new veterans and our young stars in the making. Yep! Howie Roseman has done a great job in building this roster.
Two games of the preseason slate are behind us. Now, it's time to focus on two more litmus tests, Tuesday's joint practice versus the Indianapolis Colts and Thursday's game versus those same Colts and their new head coach. Perhaps you have heard. He's someone Birds fans are familiar with, former Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen.
The Philadelphia Eagles announced ten roster moves on Saturday.
Ahead of a Saturday morning practice, Philly announced a couple of handfuls of roster moves. Players have been shuffled both in and out.
Philly has signed three defensive tackles: Robert Cooper, Marvin Wilson, and Caleb Sanders. They have also added linebackers Tyreek Maddox-Williams and LB Quinton Bell. The aforementioned Tyrie Cleveland has been placed on the injured/waived list. So has defensive tackle Noah Elliss, and cornerback Zech McPhearson. Cornerback Greedy Williams and punter Ty Zentner have also been released. Keep it locked, as we know you will. You'll be alerted of further roster moves as they happen.
