Not only did the Philadelphia Eagles get off to a 2-0 start after their run to the Super Bowl last year, but they also are coming off a mini-bye week having last played on Thursday Night Football in Week 2 and waiting all the way until Monday Night to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

BetSided NFL betting expert Iain MacMillan thinks the Eagles will stay unbeaten and in his “Road to 272” in which he picks every game of the NFL season, he took the Eagles to cover as road favorites against the 2-0 Bucs.

Betting expert prediction for Eagles in Week 3

It hasn’t been the easiest path to 2-0 for the Eagles and BetSided NFL betting expert Iain MacMIllan thinks that they haven’t quite played their best football yet. He also thinks that performance is coming.

MacMillan wrote, “The Buccaneers offensive line is one of the weaker units in the NFL and the Eagles pass rush is one of the most elite. Baker Mayfield is going to have a lot more trouble against this defense than what he had last week against the Bears.”

He also wants to make sure that we don’t overreact to a two week sample size. Especially when it comes to a team like Tampa Bay starting unbeaten with Baker Mayfield at quarterback.

“Let's also pump the brakes on the Buccaneers being a good football team. They were supremely lucky to beat the Vikings in Week 1, sporting a net yards per play in that game of -2.3.”

The Eagles are road favorites, and MacMillan took Philadelphia -5.5 earlier in the week, so if you can get the Eagles -4.5 now, that’s a great bet.
