17 years is a long time. Think about it. It took 17 years of life just to get to your senior year of high school in some cases. Some of you have children who aren't even 17 years old. Look at how many memories you've already built with them. It had been 17 years since the Philadelphia Eagles walked into a road game versus the New Orleans Saints and came out on the winning side.

Andy Reid was still the Eagles head coach. Donovan McNabb was still the franchise quarterback. It was two days before Christmas in 2007.

We don't even remember what we received for Christmas that year. But, here we are... September 22nd of 2024... It feels like Christmas came three months early.

The Eagles finally won in New Orleans for the first time in 17 years, but Week 3's win is costly.

Walking into this one, the Eagles had lost eight of their last 12 meetings versus the Saints. They hadn't won in New Orleans since 2007.

They had lost three straight in the dome. The streak is finally over...

The Birds and Saints had met 35 times before Week 3's clash. It wasn't pretty (until the fourth quarter), but thanks to a 15-12 win, Philly now leads the all-time series by a 20-16 margin. That isn't the top story coming out of this one though.

Many of the Birds went down in this one, and unfortunately, we didn't see them return.

We'll monitor DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson all week while they're in concussion protocol. We'll also discuss Darius Slay, Mekhi Becton's injury, and Britain Covey's shoulder.

Hopefully, recoveries will be swift. Another game approaches. Philadelphia travels to the location where last season ended. Raymond James Stadium is the location of Week 4's battle. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the next opponent in the journey.
