Two high-powered offenses... Two good young quarterbacks... Awesome skill players everywhere. It hasn't mattered so far. The Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints are locked in a defensive tussle. It's 3-0 in favor of the home team at half time.

The halftime story and takes are easy to write. Philly continues to struggle in the red zone. They have turned the ball over twice, and sadly, that isn't even the worst news coming out of 'Nawlins'.

Lane Johnson leaves Eagles vs. Saints Week 2 contest with an injury.

Hold your breath Eagles fans. Call those prayer circles if you're a member of one. All-world right tackle Lane Johnson took a brief trip to the medical tent before being escorted by Dom DiSandro to the visiting locker room.

It appears that he'll miss the rest of this game because of a concussion.

Mekhi Becton also left to enter the locker room early, but he re-emerged before halftime and rejoined his teammates on the Eagles sideline despite sitting out until halftime. The second half came, and we weren't delivered a positive diagnosis.

He'll miss the rest of Week 3's Eagles vs. Saints game with a finger injury. Britain Covey is also out. He has an injured shoulder.

Here's the official report.

We won't irritate you by providing Philadelphia's record with and without Lane Johnson. You've seen those hundreds of times. Why don't we say this? The Birds are better with Lane than without him.

This was going to be a tough game for Philly to play without A.J. Brown. It's doubly as tough to win without Lane Johnson being available. We'll see what happens during the second half, but without Lane and Becton, Tyler Steen will be asked to fill in at right guard while Fred Johnson will take up residency at right tackle.
