Jason Kelce offers his farewell to the Eagles with an emotional press conference
Once we heard a press conference would precede the announcement, we kind of figured it was a wrap. Once we saw Travis Kelce at the presser, we all kind of had an idea of what was coming. Jason Kelce sat down and began sobbing, and reality finally set in. The Philadelphia Eagles legend will finally ride off into the sunset.
We all knew Jason Kelce wouldn't play forever, even if it felt like he could if he wanted to. We all knew that mortality would eventually get the best of him.
The Notorious B.I.G., some say the greatest rapper of all time, died on March 9th. That's one of the thoughts that cross my mind whenever we reach the beginning on our great nation's third month. March 4th now has some added significance.
Jason Kelce, one of the most beloved Eagles of all time, has called it a career. His words, as always, were well-thought-out and full of emotion
You know what? It doesn't matter how long one wrestles with the knowledge the something is inevitable, it still doesn't prepare you for its arrival.
Damn... Jason Kelce REALLY retired!
We tip our caps to one of the best to ever don an Eagles jersey, Jason Kelce.
Sometimes, we use phrases so often that they lose some of their steam, 'The G.O.A,T.' for instance, but friends... Jason Kelce is the G.O.A.T.!
Philly drafted two linemen before selecting Jason 191st overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, Danny Watkins and Julian Vandervelde. The third pick was the charm, and now the former sixth-rounder is a shoo-in for canton Ohio.
He leaves highly-decorated: six First-Team All-Pro (2017–2019, 2021–2023), seven Pro Bowl nods (2014, 2016, 2019–2023). He's also a Super Bowl champion. (LII) and a future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee.
There will never be another Jason Kelce. We doubt anyone will wear the Number 62 jersey again. We're certain he'll never have to pay for another beer in Philly again.
