Somewhere between juggling Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts comes the dizzying pace with which we must navigate what seems like 6,000 Philadelphia Eagles podcasts, player interviews, and YouTube shows. The Birds hosted a mandatory minicamp this past week. We haven't had the opportunity to state that since the days of Doug Pederson.

Oh well, time (and late-season collapses) bring change... or at least they're supposed to. The final practice session wrapped, and now our guys take a break before training camp.

We find ourselves discussing a handful of comings and goings. Buckle up. We have a few things to discuss.

Eagles news: Quinyon MItchell officially signs his rookie deal.

Everyone is officially accounted for now. The Eagles officially announced the signing of their 2024 first-round draft choice, Quinyon Mitchell. He inks a four-year deal that carries a built-in fifth-year option. His deal is worth $14,818,096 which averages out to $3,704,524 per year.

If Philly elects to exercise that club option, he's under contract through the 2028 NFL season. That means he'll be eligible for free agency in 2029

More Eagles news: Dom DiSandro's new groove

Dom DiSandro is Philly's Senior Advisor to the General Manager and the team's chief security officer. His presence and continued employment with the Eagles is why most of us know there is no need to worry if phrases like 'character concerns' come up with a player that Philly might be interested in. Dom is going to do the research, and no one gets in the building if he gives the thumbs down.

Last year he became a rock star when he was ejected from an Eagles/49ers game following a sideline confrontation with San Fran's Dre Greenlaw. They exchanged apologies, but DiSandro was banned from the sideline for the duration of a Sunday Night Football game that followed.

Philly is making sure that doesn't happen again. He's been given a new title, so his role on the sideline is, shall we say, covered.

Thank Jeff McLane for the report:

Yeah... In other words, any actions he involves himself in on the sideline will be deemed acceptable by league offices,, even if that means we're simply discussing his rumored role in keeping Nick Sirianni from getting out of hand. Sheesh.. What's that about?

Even more Eagles news: Philly adds another DB.

The Eagles continue to tinker with their roster as we break for the summer and wait on training camp. On Friday, they announced Parry Nickerson's addition. He joins John Ross as players who were added to the preseason roster after impressing during team tryouts.

NIckerson is a 29-year-old, five-foot-ten, 179-pounder who has appeared in 30 games with three starts as a member of the NY Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars (2019), Green Bay Packers (2020), Minnesota Vikings (2021), and Miami Dolphins (2023).

Last season, he had the honor of playing under new Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Still, with so many bodies on the roster at DB, he will have a tough hill to climb to make Philly's 53-man regular-season roster. .
