Eagles rumors: Insider's report involving Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts is truly concerning
Nothing surprises us anymore when it comes to this Philadelphia Eagles team and the things we hear and/or read. Then again, we probably shouldn't say that. It's almost like conjuring up some weird jinx.
Every time we say things can't get worse, they absolutely can't get worse. Remember when we thought Philly's defense couldn't get worse and they stripped Sean Desai of play-calling duties and handed them to Matt Patricia? How did that work out? Yeah... That was bad. But, that, honestly was pretty tame in comparison to what we've been hearing since the season ended.
Brace yourselves. Are you sitting down? You should be sitting down if you aren't. You aren't going to believe what's being said now.
Derrick Gunn offers yet another concerning report involving our Philadelphia Eagles. This one mentions Nick Sirianni.
Yes friends... His respected tenure at NBC Sports Philly may have ended, but Derrick Gunn is just as plugged in as he always was. Years upon years of building relationships will do that for you. In a world of conflicting reports, D.G. is typically in the know. We just wish he had something else to tell us.
Here we are, finally moving past the scars left by anonymous sources and a report about our head coach lands in our timelines. It appears NIck Sirianni has some self-control issues. Sure we knew that already, but it's actually worse than we thought.
Don't take our word for it. Read Gunn's words for yourselves:
"According to sources: (Jalen's) big contract pulled (him) in numerous directions on/off field put him under a lot of pressure, (and) he didn’t handle (it) well .."
No wait! There's more!
-In relation to 'Big' Dom DiSandro's suspension- "(Dom) controls Sirianni's emotions on (the) sideline. In his absence, Nick gets in numerous arguments with players/coaches during games".
Seriously... What does one say after that? As much as we hate to hear these things (or read them), we can't ignore those stories when they surface.
As conversations about Nick Sirianni and his role as CEO coach and figurehead continue to swirl, you can best believe we'll hear reactions and more about this. How did we get here though? A once-model franchise is littered with rumors of drama more and more often. Gosh! Our Birds are beginning to remind us of the hated Dallas Cowboys at times.
