Eagles rumors: Philadelphia may have some interest in reacquiring Ndamukong Suh

If we're being honest, poll a handful of Eagles fans, and you may find many are in favor of Ndamukong Suh's return.

One of the NFL's great mercenaries is the topic of discussion again. Have you heard? There's a rumor that Ndamukong Suh may rejoin the Philadelphia Eagles. Did you notice how quickly we raised those antennas? Believe us on this. We can make arguments to support and refute the idea, but you have to admit it's interesting.

Here's the skinny. We were snooping around Eagles circles, radio airwaves, and rumor mills looking to dig up some dirt, and you know the saying. People often find what they're looking for.

Lookey here... ML Football, one of those sources we've grown to trust, was nice enough to do the legwork for us. Again, this one's pretty interesting.

As much as we love these guys, we still weren't satisfied. We kept digging. Look! Dots are being connected again.

They say one's company, two's a crowd, and three's a party (or, something like that. Philly's no stranger to tinkering their roster later in the season. You know what? Why not give this a whirl?

When you ponder the idea, an Eagles reacquisition of Ndamukong Suh may not be a bad thing.

Whenever theories like this are stated, the same question is asked. Why do this? Honestly, it may not be a bad idea.

Fletcher Cox is getting a little older. Milton Williams recently returned from an injury. Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis are good, but they may be feeling the effects of a long NFL season. Moro Ojomo and Marlon Tuipulotu simply aren't ready.

Suh is in that Jadeveon Clowney/Odell Beckham Jr. class of NFL athletes. They aren't as good as they once were. They're still better than many of the guys you have on the roster at that same position they play. You can make arguments for your team adding them just as easily as you can make arguments to leave them off your roster.

Suh makes sense. He's great when he doesn't have to play a full season. He isn't familiar with Sean Desai, but he does know many of the guys in the locker room. He played well for the Eagles last season.

While we're not ready to plant our flag and yell 'we're in', we are intrigued. Keep your eyes peeled. We'll continue to see if this grows legs.
