The Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl hangover hit them hard in the second half of the season. After starting the 2023 campaign off once again looking like one of the best teams in the NFL, the Eagles went 1-5 in their final six games and then fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs.

It's back to the drawing board for them as they try to find a way to bounce back in 2024.

If they want to get back to being a top contender in the NFC, they'll need to find a way to re-claim their divisional crown. They let the NFC East slip through their fingers last season, but the good news is there hasn't been a repeat winner of the division since 2003-2004. If that trend continues this year, they'll be in a great spot to get back on top.

Let's dive into the opening odds to win the NFC East in 2024 and then we'll take a closer look at the Eagles' chances.

Eagles underdogs to re-claim NFC East crown

The bad news for the Eagles is they aren't the betting favorites to win the NFC East in 2024. That honor belongs to the defending champion Dallas Cowboys who are listed at +110. The good news is it's a two team race with the Washington Commanders (+900) and New York Giants (+1000) with seemingly little chance to compete.

The Eagles enter the offseason at +135 to win the NFC East, which translates to an implied probability of 42.55%. If you were to bet $100 on them to win the division, you'd win a profit of $135 if they're able to achieve the feat.

The Eagles certainly have some issues they need to sort out. They decided to bring back Nick Sirianni as their head coach, but hired Kellen Moore as their offensive coordinator and Vic Fangio is their defensive coordinator in hopes they'll figure out the strategy and play-calling issues on both sides of the ball.

The changes in coordinators may be enough to get Philadelphia back to where it needs to be. There's still plenty of talent on both sides of the ball, including one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL in A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith.

They do need to make some upgrades on defense considering they finished 30th in opponent points per game, giving up an average of 25.6 per contest.

With that being said, the talent is there. They're a strong offseason away from getting back to being one of the most dangerous teams in the NFC. If you think they can't compete for a division title in 2024, you're crazy.

They're a strong bet to re-claim the NFC East crown at +135.
