The day began with questions about Jalen Hurts' health and whether or not Jordan Davis would be able to go for the Philadelphia Eagles' Week 8 affair versus the Washington Commanders. Good news came on both fronts.

Jordan Davis, with a heavily wrapped leg during warmups, was figured to be questionable early. He was designated as active. Jalen Hurts has a reported bone bruise on his knee, but there was never any doubt that he was going to gut one out.

There are however injuries to report.

Keep an eye on Eagles rookie Jalen Carter. Milton Williams and Grant Calcaterra are also injured.

The first quarter was a rough one. The Commanders were up on the scoreboard by a 7-3 margin. Jalen Carter took a trip to the medical tent after the first defensive drive but remained on the sideline.

Milton Williams and Grant Calcaterra are another story. The former limped to the sideline after the Commanders' first scoring drive, one that concluded with a touchdown pass from Sam Howell to Terry McLaurin. He left the field to enter the locker room shortly thereafter. Grant Calcaterra also left to enter the locker room.

This story is developing. We'll keep you posted should any updates occur.
