Did we fail to mention there are a ton of talented cornerbacks on this Eagles roster?

When camp begins, the Philadelphia Eagles will have 11 cornerbacks on their 90-man roster: James Bradberry, Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox, Zech McPhearson, Greedy Williams, Josiah Scott, Kelee Ringo, Eli Ricks, Mekhi Garner, Mario Goodrich, and Josh Jobe.

When the regular season begins, those 11 names will be trimmed to six, and we all know that Slay, Bradberry, Maddox, and Ringo are assured of roster spots. Williams, Scott, Ricks, Garner, Goodrich, and Jobe are officially on notice.

Josh Jobe, cornerback

When the smoke cleared and dust settled on the 2022 preseason, three of the Eagles' undrafted rookie free agents had battled their way onto the 53-man roster. Josh Jobe, Josh Sills, and Reed Blankenship have a lot to be proud of.

Jobe is talented. He contributed mightily on special teams and is familiar with his teammates, but is he good enough to beat out four or five guys this time around. We willl all learn the answer to that question together.

Eli Ricks, cornerback

Eli Ricks was one of nine 2023 undrafted rookie free agents the Birds added post draft. He's six-foot-two. He tips the scales at 190 pounds. He most certainly looks the part of an NFL cornerback. The only questions now are aboout whether or not he can play like one.

Honorable mention: Ty Zentner

Longtime Eagles Insider Howard Eskin recently guaranteed the Eagles will walk into the regular season with a new punter. Arryn Siposs may lose his job eventually, but if he does, unless something has changed since OTAs, it won't be to Ty Zentner.
