Obvious Eagles candidates for following Kevin Byard out of the door in free agency

Kevin Byard won't be the only Eagles star that exits this offseason. Many that follow will be familiar faces.

Quez Watkins, wide receiver

At this point, any mention of Quez Watkins makes us feel like we're picking on him. Trust us when we tell you this. That truly isn't the intention. Still, this list lacks credibility if his name isn't on it

A new league year approaches. The deadline for teams to franchise players is March 5th. Quez obviously won't be tagged so when unrestricted free agents are allowed to sign with interested teams (4:00 p.m. EST, New York time, on March 13), he'll have his opportunity to find some new scenery.

Boston Scott, running back

Boston Scott is talented. Let's start there, but he and Kenneth Gainwell are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Both are probably better than they're given credit for being, but Kenny G is under contract for the 2024 NFL season. Boston isn't.

Kenny isn't loved by much of the fan base, but he has the trust of his coaches. Scott, on the other hand, is loved by the fans but never seems to earn the full trust of the Nick Sirianni regime.

We fear our Giant Killer is finally going to leave us.

Worth mentioning (but, not for bad reasons): Jason Kelce, Fletcher Cox

At the time of this story's release, Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox's futures are still in question. Their exits are possible but for different reasons.

Fletch can still play, but he isn't going to give Philly any hometown discounts. NBC Sports Philadelphia's Reuben Frank believes we've probably seen the last of him in an Eagles jersey, and if Fletch decides he desires to keep playing football, chances are that Roob might be right.

Jason Kelce will be an Eagle if he decides he wants to keep playing. Still, even though his and Fletch's situations are unlike the other men on this list, they could also leave our Birds this offseason.

Let's hope they don't!
