It isn't until you look back that you realize how far we have come. Navigating the NFL's schedule is truly a 12-month exercise. Sure, there's that month during the summer when the Philadelphia Eagles' players and coaches take some time off and go home. Still, from the dawn of training camp until we begin paying attention to organized team activities and minicamps, the pedal is floored, and everything travels at a 100-mile-an-hour pace.

It has been a long journey since the confetti fell on the wrong team in Super Bowl LVII. We rocked out at the Senior Bowl and Pro Days. We marched through the NFL Scouting Combine, rookie minicamps, the aforementioned OTAs, three boring preseason games, and finally roster cuts. We made it! We finally have a 53-man roster to discuss!

Meet the 2023 Philadelphia Eagles!

X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, was on fire wasn't it? Roster moves have been made. Philadelphia announced some officially. As expected, the best social media team in the business, the one belonging to our Eagles, as expected, found a cool way to introduce its initial 53-man roster.

Slightly ahead of the roster's release, the Eagles secured a trade for tight end Albert Okwuegbunam. Philly also receives a seventh-round pick. The Denver Broncos get a 2025 sixth-round pick out of the deal.

In other news, Eli Ricks made the roster and K'Von Wallace didn't. Sure, there's no punter, but that will get taken care of as the Birds are expected to work a few guys out. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and vice president/general manager Howie Roseman met with the media. Take a look at that discussion and the guys that made the cut.

Some erroneously call this 'the final 53-man roster'. It isn't that at all. It's the initial 53-man roster. It will change a few times between now and the first regular-season game in Foxborough versus the New England Patriots. Keep an eye on what's going on at the NovaCare Complex. The work is only beginning. Again, expect the pedal to be floored now.
