So, what should we expect of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024? Perhaps Jason Kelce said it best. When we expect nothing from them, they provide the best versions of themselves. When we expect their best, they give us their worst. Let's hope all of this potential leads us to a deep playoff run.

This is one of those times where it feels appropriate to make the 'this team looks good on paper' claim. If we have learned nothing else, however, we have certainly learned the following. The Eagles have never won or lost games on paper.

A good roster helps though, and ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Eagles are loaded. Also, they have invited some of the best young prospects to town for a visit. We'll see if any of them join the next draft class.

The Birds have room to add about 14 more players to their preseason roster. Here's a recap of who is already here and a look at a probable depth chart.

The Eagles currently carry 76 players on their 2024 preseason roster (and one on the 'Suspended' list.

As of now, Philly carries 76 players on a preseason roster that will eventually house 90 men. Isaiah Rodgers remains on the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list.

It will be interesting to see how the rookies, both drafted and undrafted, mesh with the current Eagles roster. Once they're added, that will certainly be a discussion point.

With that said, let's piece together a depth chart. We're doing so by making certain assumptions, one of which being Vic Fangio will implement his 3-4 defensive scheme.

Quarterback

Jalen Hurts, Kenny Pickett, Tanner McKee, Will Grier

This one is pretty obvious. There's only one area where we can find intrigue. Can Will Grier outplay Tanner McKee and relegate him to scout-team duty?

Running Back

Saquon Barkley, Kenneth Gainwell, Lew Nichols, Tyrion Davis-Price

This unit isn't complete by any means. It would be nice to see another capable player added or signed because Lew Nichols and Tyrion Davis Price don't fuel any adrenaline rushes.

Wide Receiver

A.J. Brown, DeVante Parker, Jacob Harris

Wide Receiver

DeVonta Smith, Joseph Ngata, Griffin Hebert, Austin Watkins Jr.

Wide Receiver (slot)

Parris Campbell, Britain Covey, Shaquan Davis

Tight End

Dallas Goedert, C.J. Uzomah, Grant Calcaterra, Albert Okwuegbunam

Albert Okwuegbunam was signed to a one-year deal on February 23rd. C.J. Uzomah was added by way of a one-year deal on April 11th. We'll chart Grant Calcaterra as one of the top three guys on the depth chart for now, but we wouldn't be shocked if Philly kept three tight ends and he was left off the roster.

Left Tackle

Jordan Mailata, Fred Johnson

Right Tackle

Lane Johnson, Le'Raven Clark, Darian Kinnard

Left Guard

Landon Dickerson, Matt Hennessy, Brett Toth

Right Guard

Tyler Steen, Lecitus Smith
