Which jerseys are the Eagles wearing today in Week 2 vs. Falcons?

Maybe we were the only ones who were thinking about this. Maybe we weren't, but remember how excited we all were when the NFL ditched Reebok and named Nike as its official outfitter? After seeing the way they decked out so many of the iconic NCAA programs. We thought this might be something to see. Think about it! Philadelphia Eagles Combat Jerseys...

In the end, it wasn't meant to be. Pro football decided on Color Rush jerseys before realizing that was a mistake. Hey, we got an all-black Eagles jersey out of the deal, but the 'One-shell rule meant they'd have to wear a midnight green helmet while donning it.

Time has gone on, and the Birds jersey hasn't changed much since the Nike-NFL partnership, but now, the kelly green jerseys are back. We also have matching helmets for that jersey and the black ensemble.

Philly won't be wearing either in Week 2 though.

Eagles Will Wear Their Classic Home Jersey on Monday Night Football

Last week was a weird one. First of all, it was a 'home game', but it was played in Brazil. Then, there was the never-before-seen uniform choice. Black helmets... White jerseys... Black pants...

This time around, things are a little more normal. We get the classic home look for Monday Night Football. Midnight green helmets and jerseys along with white pants...

Alternate or Special Edition Jerseys

As stated, the Eagles are also expected to wear a couple of alternate looks this season. Something tells us they'll go full-scale 'blackout' look at home versus the New York Giants.

We will see the Birds rock the kelly green look in Week 9 on Sunday Night Football and again in Week 17. The first date doubles as a home date versus the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 3.

That latter date (December 29) comes on a Sunday. It's a Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Birds typically rock white jerseys and green pants for most of their road dates, but expect to see every style of Eagles jersey (including throwbacks) at every game this season.
