Welcome to the unknown that is the 2026 Philadelphia Eagles season, with Lane Johnson adding more complications after his retirement announcement.

Johnson has been dealing with personal matters off the field, which led to him missing four days of training camp and the Eagles' Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The six-time Pro Bowler has been such an important part of this team that the Eagles are 18-28 without him in the starting lineup, according to StatMuse.

This leaves the Eagles in a tough spot for the remaining 13 games of the season, as they currently sit at 2-2. The odds seem slim for this team to make the playoffs, but can they find a way to do it without arguably the best offensive lineman in franchise history?

Game-by-game predictions for Eagles' 2026 season without Lane Johnson

Week 5 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (London)

Winning this game is a tall order with Johnson, Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, Quinyon Mitchell, Dallas Goedert, Cam Jurgens, Landon Dickerson, and more potentially out. This is a depleted Eagles roster that will have a lot of backups on the field. Don't count on the Eagles winning this one.

Jaguars 28, Eagles 16 (Record: 2-3)

Week 6 vs. Carolina Panthers

Even if Mitchell is back for this game, the Panthers have the best passing attack in the NFL. The hope is that the offense will be healthier by then, with Dickerson, Barkley, Smith, and Goedert either close to returning or back for this game. Could the Eagles escape with a win? Possibly, but Carolina seems to be in a better spot right now.

Panthers 24, Eagles 21 (Record: 2-4)

Week 7 vs. Dallas Cowboys (MNF)

This is the game where the Eagles should start to get healthier and bring back most, if not all, of their injured starters. Even at 2-4, Philly is in a much better spot facing one of the NFL's worst defenses. Under the bright lights of Monday night, this feels like the moment the Eagles can get their season turned around in a big way.

Eagles 30, Cowboys 23 (Record: 3-4)

Week 8 at Washington Commanders (SNF)

The multi-game winning steak is going to start with the Commanders. Jayden Daniels will most likely be back, but he's injury-prone, and he won't be playing 100% all season with his elbow. Washington's secondary isn't great, so the Eagles' offense should be in a good rhythm by then and hopefully show some life in this game.

Eagles 23, Commanders 19 (Record: 4-4)

Week 9 vs. New York Giants

Not many people believe the Giants are for real with Brian Burns and Jaxson Dart hurt and out for the season. We don't either, as the Eagles are healthy, continuing their comeback season, and entering their bye week with a three-game winning streak.

Eagles 24, Giants 14 (Record: 5-4)

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

This is where things start to get interesting. A bye week will be great for the Eagles to heal up and get the team to where they want it to be for the rest of the season. Pittsburgh is a weird team that is kind of inconsistent in how they look, so Philly should be able to pull off an ugly win here.

Eagles 13, Steelers 10 (Record: 6-4)

Week 12 at Dallas Cowboys (Thanksgiving Day)

Let's face it: the Eagles tend to split the regular-season series with the Cowboys, and this is a short week since they are playing on Thanksgiving. Dallas might be an average team, but they play well on this holiday, so the edge goes to them, with their offense stealing the show.

Cowboys 35, Eagles 21 (Record: 6-5)

Week 13 at Arizona Cardinals

This better not end as it did in 2023, when the Eagles were the better team than Arizona and somehow lost. That shouldn't happen, though, as even the current banged-up version of the Eagles would beat the Cardinals, so this should be an easy win for Philly.

Eagles 28, Cardinals 10 (Record: 7-5)

Week 14 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis is not in a great spot right now, and this could be one of Shane Steichen's (former Eagles offensive coordinator) final games as head coach of the Colts, depending on how the season goes. It won't be an easy game, but Philly should be able to lean on the defense to finish the job.

Eagles 16, Colts 14 (Record: 8-5)

Week 15 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Against that Seahawks defense? No. The Eagles are easily losing this game unless Howie Roseman helped this Philly team add incredible talent before the trade deadline.

Seahawks 24, Eagles 13 (Record: 8-6)

Week 16 vs. Houston Texans

The Texans won't be easy, but they should be out of the playoff hunt after starting the season 0-4. Still, the Eagles tend to lose at least one weird game each season. This is crushing to predict, but Houston's defense is still very good, and Reed Blankenship is on the opposite side with the Texans, so an upset feels due.

Texans 26, Eagles 21 (Record: 8-7)

Week 17 at San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco could lose 50% of its roster to injury, and it still finds ways to win games. The Eagles are just not in the same class as them not matter how many moves Roseman makes.

49ers 30, Eagles 20 (Record: 8-8)

Week 18 at New York Giants

No matter where the Eagles are in the playoff hunt, the Giants are still going to stink, so this should still be a win for Philly. Missing the playoffs at 9-8, though, is very possible. It might either be a meaningless win or one that gets them in the postseason.
